Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy on Sunday backed President-elect Donald Trump‘s government’s mass deportation ideas, characterising it as a “pragmatic” process and suggesting it aligns with the opinions of many Americans.
Ramaswamy acknowledged that the US’s legal immigration system was broken, but he added that the first move should be to bring about the rule of law in a practical approach during an interview with Jonathan Karl on ABC’s” This Month.”
Is our lawful immigration system ineffective? Yes, we do, but I believe the first step will be to restore the rule of law and conduct it in a very logical manner, according to Ramaswamy, as quoted by Politico.
He argued that the majority of Americans would prefer for those who had entered the country illegally and had committed a crime to be deported, describing it as the largest size imprisonment.
” A logical way. Most Americans agree with me on the point that those who have entered or have committed a crime should not be allowed to leave the region. That would be the largest density deportation”, he said.
Ramaswamy said that those who entered the country fraudulently in recent months “have no place in this state,” but he did not provide specific information regarding the number of possible persecution. He argued for a “pragmatic” view that prioritizes the imprisonment of those who committed crimes, a maneuver he thought would lead to a mass deportation with a historically significant impact.
Ramaswamy also demanded that all federal funds that support illegal immigration, including aid to shelter cities, be stopped.
