A fire in Ventura County that rapidly grew to 10, 431 acres by Wednesday evening was pushed on by strong winds, causing injury and causing emergency.
The Ventura County Fire Department reported that several buildings were threatened along with multiple injuries sustained in the Mountain fireplace and were transported to hospitals. The number of injuries or buildings in danger was not provided by fire leaders.
Firefighters responded to the incident on South Mountain near the 7900 wall of Balcom Canyon and Bradley streets, the Fire Department said, at 9: 23 a. m. Pacific period.
Earlier on, 140 rescuers were at the field along with 58 flames engines and vehicles. On request, planes were deployed.
Around 11 a. m., the blaze jumped Highway 118, forcing emergency in the Camarillo Heights neighborhood. There were numerous road shutdown.
Ventura County’s blaze has become more difficult to destroy because of the impact of Santa Ana winds.
” Due to extreme weather conditions, fixed-wing plane are unable to assist in fire efforts”, the office said on X. ” Earth personnel, helicopters and mutual-aid solutions are constantly working to defend lives and property”.
Into Thursday, storm winds are expected to be between 30 to 55 speed. In the mountain regions, storms as high as 100 mph are feasible, according to officials.
46 Southern California Edison electric wires are being monitored for potential power shutoffs as a result of the light threats. In Moorpark, Simi Valley, and Ventura, SCE has established community resource facilities for those who have experienced energy shutoffs.
” If problems in any area exceed Southeastern California Edison’s safety levels, electricity may be briefly shut off to minimize the risk of fire of a wildfire”, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office said.
