Following Harris ‘ loss for the presidency, Ella Emhoff, the daughter of vice president Kamala Harris, took to Instagram on Saturday to refuse stories about her emotional wellbeing. She refuted says that she had a breakdown and needed medical attention.
” There is a myth that I went into a hospital after having a mental break. No true. Furthermore, f–k you if you’re out there spreading that. There’s nothing wrong with showing sentiment and crying. Emhoff wrote in her blog that anyone who says then “probably needs a great cry.”
The stories arose after Emhoff’s psychological effect during Harris’s concession speech. Emhoff was seen crying at the occasion, which took place at Howard University. In her Instagram reply, she included a picture of herself with her dog, apparently contradicting the circulating stories.
Emhoff also stressed the importance of mental health, saying,” I’ve struggled with my psychological wellbeing my entire life, and I’m not afraid of it”.
Kamala Harris married Douglas Craig Emhoff, an American prosecutor, on August 22, 2014. Emhoff is the son of filmmaker Kerstin Mackin and director Doug Emhoff. She has recently promoted a number of causes through her social media platform, including raising money for Arab aid.
