In a social media post, Trump stated,” I’m pleased to announce that the Highly Respected Former Governor of Arkansas, Mike Huckabee, has been chosen to serve as the United States Ambassador to Israel.”

Who is Mike Huckabee?
Huckabee has a history of standing up for Israel, and his election comes as Trump has promised to balance US international policy with Israel’s as it fights Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Huckabee has led paid visit group sessions to Israel for decades, often advertising the journeys on conservative-leaning media outlets.
