Donald Trump is a happy Floridian. But is his chief of staff, Susie Wiles. As well as his nomination for secretary of state, Marco Rubio. Along with his candidate for attorney general, Matt Gaetz. And do n’t forget Rep. Mike Waltz (R-Fla. ), who’ll serve as Trump’s national security advisor.

And that’s not all: Citizens James Blair and Taylor Budowich may be moving to D. C. also.  ,
( Florida’s other senator, Rick Scott, was nearly named Senate Majority Leader, but he came in third, losing to Sen. John Coryn and Sen. John Thune. )
Florida, Florida, Florida! The White House could become the Sunshine State if it had only a few red flamingoes and some peach trees.
Ron DeSantis, the government in charge of the West Wing’s Florida group, will be looking for a new job in 2026. Administrators are only allowed to serve two words in Florida. Gov. had he not sparked an uproar among MAGA Nation by challenging Trump to the presidency? DeSantis could’ve simply been added to the list.
DeSantis would undoubtedly make a welcome addition to a Trump presidency now that Susie Wiles is strongly in charge of the West Wing.
However, even without DeSantis, that’s an awful lot of Florida-based ability coming to the money. The Sunshine State is overrepresented. But there’s a method to Trump’s Florida fixing:
Florida serves as the social trend canaries in the fuel me.
Back in the first 2000s, Florida was the best swing position. Who won the presidential election on the wings of angels ( and with a little bit of assistance from a semi-dangling chad ), which culminated in the never-ending ballot contests between George W. Bush and Al Gore in 2000.

Florida has been a century or so ahead of regional trends since then when Latino and Hispanic voters first started supporting GOP candidates there. Out of statistical requirement, the state Republican Party went from lily-white to multicultural. And their referral succeeded: Florida Republicans learned to speak Spanish to day laborers, hard-working minorities, and were much more interested in the increase in violent crime and rising inflation than liberals in choosing a pronoun to use.
These underrepresented citizens ratified our new Republican coalition.
Compared to other nations and provinces, the United States of America has numerous advantages. There is no other country on earth with more God-given products than our great natural resources and our two oceans for our enemies. And one of our greatest ( and most underrated ) blessings is the demographics of our immigrants.
In Europe, most of the newcomers are coming from the Middle East. Not only is it a language barrier, but the refugees tend to be historically disconnected from the rest of the country: various religion, unique culture, unique set of values. It makes integration much more difficult — because these refugees also arrived with their hatreds, prejudice, patriarchy, and intolerance.

For instance, the majority of Muslim immigrants in France believe that Jews are using the Holocaust to improve their own goals. And worse, other Western nations ‘ rising levels of hatred. Holland late had a” Jew hunt” at their soccer game.
But in America, integration is considerably easier. Yes, there’s also a language hurdle, but there’s often a common religion, common principles, a typical work ethic, and clashing conscience. In reality, values-driven problems — like abortion — are a major reason why Florida’s refugees began voting Republican.

Financial issues also matter considerably, but for Florida’s immigrants, it’s not just a question of voting for their bag: They also tend to be openly hostile to socialism and communism because they’ve witnessed the injury it’s done to their original country. They’re people who live, work, and suppose like liberals but until the past few years or so, they voted like liberals.
No again. Without their steadfast, loyal support, Ron DeSantis would n’t have won reelection in 2022 with nearly 60 % of the popular vote.
And then the rest of the region is catching up to Florida: In 2016, about 87 % of Trump’s citizens were white. But in 2024, almost one in five Trump voters were dark, Latino, Native American, or “people of coloring”.

This ai n’t your Daddy’s Republican Party!
The United States is in the operation of a dramatic restructuring. Prior to that, there were social pressure and barriers that prevented black people from overwhelmingly supporting the Republican Party without experiencing repercussions. But after 2024, that roof has broken.  ,
The Republican Party has now been transformed into the working-man’s group. The sun is only beginning to set in.
Flooding and warmth? Yes, in my opinion, Florida!
