For his services to the United States, Hegseth received the Combat Infantryman’s Badge and two Iron Stars.
Hegseth is already a member of the Individual Set Reserve of the Minnesota Army National Guard, according to The New York Post. Hegseth was named as Trump’s choice for secretary of defense after his statement, according to Fox News, his final day on the news site. Commenting on Trump’s collection of Hegseth as the next president of the Pentagon, Rep. Democrats immediately claimed the Fox News host was “not qualified ” for the position while Republicans applauded Trump’s choice for secretary of defense.
