Authorities have confirmed that a significant stock blast left two useless and at least 10 injured in Louisville, Kentucky, on Tuesday.
At Givaudan Sense Color, a factory that produces the chocolate color used in delicate refreshments, an blast occurred at around 3 p.m., according to WHAS 11. The outlet reported that all of the blast victims were mill workers and that hospitalization was available for the injured.
A video shared on X, previously Online, shows the blast that took place only before 3 p. m. on Tuesday. Right after the explosion, large smoke plumes can be seen coming straight out of the manufacturer.
On Wednesday, Mayor Craig Greenberg said,” First we had all been told]by the firm ] that all the people were accounted for, painfully that was not the situation”.
One victim passed away after being transported to the University of Louisville Hospital, according to Greenberg, and another passed away after being found by factory workers in the remains of the stock.
According to WHAS 11’s report, Louisville Fire Chief Brian O’Neill informed reporters that firefighters returned to the factory soon on Tuesday night after being informed that not all of the company’s employees had been found.

Due to concerns that dangerous chemicals might have been released into the air during the blast, city officials reportedly instructed residents within a one-mile of the manufacturer to leave their shelter. O’Neill confirmed that no hazardous chemicals have been discovered since officers started monitoring the weather following Tuesday’s blast and that the house in position order was lifted by 5 p.m.
Givaudan Sense Colour said,” We are deeply saddened to learn that two of our crew members lost their lives in this crash,” in a statement obtained by WHAS 11. As a result, a number of other people suffered injuries as well. In this extremely difficult time, we are grieving with the people, friends, and loved people of those who have been lost and hurt.
The organization is “early levels of investigating” the blast, according to Givaudan Sense Colour, who is coordinating work with first responders and other organizations.
Givaudan Sense Colour continued,” Our staff members, the people of those we have lost and the victims of this injury are our top priorities right now,” adding. In the upcoming days and weeks, we are in contact with them and committed to supporting them.
The cause of Tuesday’s stock blast now remains under investigation, according to WHAS 11.
