Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was appointed secretary of health and human services ( HHS) by US President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday. He said that HHS may play a major role in ensuring that everyone would be protected from dangerous compounds, pollutants, pesticides, medical products, and food chemicals contributing to the health problems in the country.
Trump expressed his excitement over the appointment on social media platform X, saying:” I’m thrilled to name Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services ( HHS). For very much, Americans have been crushed by the commercial food difficult and pharmaceutical companies who have engaged in fraud, propaganda, and propaganda when it comes to Public Health. The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important part of any Administration, and HHS may play a major role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful compounds, pollutants, pesticides, medical products, and foods compounds that have contributed to the enormous Health Crisis in this Country. Kennedy, an environmental activist, previously ran for president as an independent candidate before endorsing Trump in August. This endorsement came with the understanding of a potential role in Trump’s administration.

Kennedy has stated that he intends to put a higher priority on reducing food chemicals and treating chronic illnesses like obesity and diabetes. Additionally, he suggested significant staffing adjustments and raised FDA-related criticisms. Regarding the FDA, he said on social media,” The FDA’s war on public health is about to end”.
Kennedy’s stance on vaccines has drawn criticism, with accusations of spreading misinformation. While he disputes being anti-vaccine, he advocates for more stringent vaccine testing. He previously chaired the Children’s Health Defense, an organization known for its anti-vaccine messaging.
