Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was appointed secretary of health and human services ( HHS) by US President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday. He said that HHS may play a major role in ensuring that everyone would be protected from dangerous compounds, pollutants, pesticides, medical products, and food chemicals contributing to the health problems in the country.
Trump expressed his excitement over the appointment on social media platform X, saying:” I’m thrilled to name Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services ( HHS). Kennedy’s stance on vaccines has drawn criticism, with accusations of spreading misinformation. While he disputes being anti-vaccine, he advocates for more stringent vaccine testing. He previously chaired the Children’s Health Defense, an organization known for its anti-vaccine messaging.
