Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, will not be invited to join his presidency, according to Donald Trump, the president-elect.
” I esteem Jamie Dimon, of JPMorgan Chase, considerably, but he will not get invited to be a part of the Trump Administration”, Trump said on social media.
According to reports next year, Dimon had no intention of resigning from the JPMorgan Chase and was planning to stay there. The likelihood of him accepting a place in the administration was “almost nil,” according to Dimon himself next month.
Before the vote, Dimon was considered a possible prospect for Treasury Secretary. Trump has n’t but made his choice for the position public. The top contenders are businessman lender Howard Lutnick and investment Scott Bessent, according to a Reuters record citing options.
Dimon, who has served as JPMorgan Chase’s CEO for roughly 19 years, congratulated Trump and another elected officials alongside the company’s operating commission after the election.
