Joe Biden promoted a number of Air Force authorities, who have frequently praised neo-Marxist worldview throughout the organization as his fatal president comes to an end.
According to a Pentagon press launch, the Democrat leader nominated Col. Patric D. Coggin and Brig. Gen. Barbra S. Buls to the ranks of general public and big general, both. Both Coggin and Buls are stationed at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland and have positions in the Arkansas Air National Guard Readiness Center.
The Federalist has learned that both individuals have outwardly promoted radical left-wing orthodoxy such as “diversity, equity, and inclusion” ( DEI ) in their capacities as military officials. ( DE I demands merit be dismissed in favor of a discriminatory system that prioritizes an individual’s personal features, such as skin color and sexual orientation ).
In February 2023, Coggin was a featured guest on the” Mr Minuteman Moment”, a podcast that “highlights what the 189th Airlift Wing accomplishes for the group, state and nation”. Chief Master Sgt. and the Air Force colonel speak in a mutual discussion. Black History Month was the focus of Regina L. Monk, a black woman, who described the show as “what we can do as officials to ensure our Airmen sprout up in the Air National Guard with the best view on participation for all.”
Coggin, a white man, made reference to Black History Month and the progress made by black Americans throughout U.S. record after talking about his experiences growing up and saying that the country “has a lot to go.”
” The quarter allows us to reflect on … where we came from”, Coggin said. ” To me, and I know]Monk ] meant this, but I want to make sure we verbalize it. It even helps to keep in mind that there are still many more days to go.
The Air Force colonel then went on to discuss normalizing what the host and he called “difficult meetings” about race in America. He further criticized the idea of teaching kids to overlook skin color, saying that it is” no nearly enough” to abandon the nation’s past embrace of slavery and move on.
” When I was growing up … what I was always taught by teachers and counselors … is, like, also, we just have to get to a place where we’re ignoring the color of our body”, Coggin said. While the purpose of what they’re trying to teach us as [kids ] was pure, we realized that just talking about it was insufficient to solve the issue of what the history of slavery in this country brought about, and that we had to have those conversations to do so. We just could n’t ignore it to solve the problem”.
But Coggin did n’t stop there. He later talked about some military leaders ‘ frustration with prioritizing “diversity” in finding the “best person” for a job and suggested that while he does n’t believe there’s anything “immoral about that”, he thinks those moments can be used to discuss the significance of “diversity” in the hiring process.
” Those difficult conversations can then be on,’ Well, why is n’t variety good for your work?'” Coggin said. ” And I do n’t think anyone has a good answer to that question, which tells me there’s something more there”.
” Do we only want to get people based on their skin’s shade?” Of course no. Of course no. But does variety make up our military’s goals? Absolutely”, he added while citing the impact of “diversity of idea”.

Nevertheless, Buls has her own track record of promoting neo-Marxist philosophy. According to the National Guard’s site, as of September 2024, the Air Force colonel standard is” the Special Assistant to the Chief, National Guard Bureau, for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Director, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion”.
While serving in that capacity, Buls attended and gave a talk at a June 2023 “pride festival” held at Joint Base Andrews. In her notes, Buls “emphasized the value of diversity and picture within the defense”, according to a conclusion provided on the facility’s website.
Coggin and Buls are not the first defense figures Biden has nominated for the DEI. In recent years, the senator has promoted several officers who have exhibited an affinity for such philosophy and, in some cases, have had an empty animosity toward Americans who reject their leftist viewpoint.
