Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN) left the door open to meet President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet, marking his latest shift to distance himself from the Democratic Party.  ,
The Minnesota representative said,” I am not a huge fan of the leader himself, but I understand the MAGA movement,” after voters overwhelmingly voted in favor of Trump’s second term next month. I am aware of how unhappy persons are.
Anyone should take into account that if there is a job that could help the country and that my skillset would be helpful for, as Trump announced a flurry of votes to top Cabinet messages over the past few weeks. Phillips threw his hat in the ring to change the game in Washington, saying on Thursday:” If there is a job that could help the country and that my skillset would be — everyone should consider that.”
” I understand why this provincial government needs to be reformed”, he continued. Finally proceed with” but do it with people who have the competence and integrity to do it.”
Phillips is n’t the only one in his party eyeing a place in the incoming administration. Numerous Democrats who are dissatisfied with their party had now taken over Trumpworld as their main rivals.  ,
Elon Musk, the CEO of Space X and Tesla, admitted years ago that he had voted Democrat and that his support for limited government and completely businesses pushed him to support Trump in the election cycle. The president-elect appointed Musk to assist spear the Department of Government Effectiveness, which seeks to eliminate bureaucratic misuse and inadequacy.
Phillips praised the new company, adding during his remarks Thursday”, For gosh sakes, it’s much late. Our bill is out of command.”
Previous Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard left the Democrat Party in October, saying it had become” antifreedom” and the group of war, repression, open borders, and poverty. This month, Trump announced her nomination for director of national intelligence.  ,
During the elections, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. attempted to challenge President Joe Biden as a Democrat. Kennedy declared he had run as an independent candidate after claiming that his youth’s political party had honed the major laws to protect him from opposition. After the election, Kennedy later said he trusted the GOP’s head more than the Democratic Party, which would end the conflict in Ukraine, put an end to the chronic disorder epidemic, and supported Trump. Since then, Trump has nominated his original foe to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.  ,
Phillips argued that party elders prevented the former president from facing off with him in a meaningful election challenge, similar to Kennedy’s experience. In March, he ended up backing Biden and suspending his plan. Phillips and Kennedy both expressed anger over party leaders ‘ decisions to sink conversations about holding primary debates in Florida and other states to effectively withdraw the Democratic primary.  ,
” My tone, yes, was ignored, but tens of millions of Americans ‘ accents were ignored and suppressed and alienated,” Phillips said earlier this month.  ,
Phillips once more expressed his concern that the party was out of contact with voters after Vice President Kamala Harris replaced Biden with the Democrat ticket and lost to Trump.  ,
In an interview with the Washington Post, he said,” Those of us who had our lips on the ground, were listening, and were spending time around the country sensed two things.”  ” ,One, the growing disdain for the Biden administration— which I do n’t believe was deserved. Second, Donald Trump is becoming more appealing to voters in regions that have previously had a little closer relationship with Democrats.
