Two separate shootings along a rally path in New Orleans, a town in the US state of Louisiana, on Monday, left two people dead and nine others injured, according to a press release by New Orleans Police Department. The incidents occurred during a” next line” event in the St Roch area.
” This scene contains two distinct images. Two distinct firing scenarios are present. They are 45 days apart from each other”, chief Anne Kirkpatrick said in a media event, CNN reported.
Eight victims were discovered by police in the area of an avenue with gunshot wounds shortly after 3:30 pm ( local time ). According to the New Orleans Police Department’s press release, all were taken to facilities for care.
About 45 moments afterwards, another report of gunfire came in from the same street, around one mile to the northwest. One victim died at the picture, while another hospitalized from accidents. A fourth victim is already stable and has been taken to a hospital.
The murders occurred in the midst of the” next line” holidays, which are conventional celebratory rallies in New Orleans.
