As Democrats try to recover from their political shellacking, I have one easy method for them to restore their rationality: sing more soccer. Never enjoy more football. not to purchase any more scarves that represent the crew they pretend to love during their semesters of study abroad. No, they must actually participate in community soccer, and they are doing it wrong if they do n’t hear a lot of Spanish and a few African accents.
They may get a sense of how totally out of contact they are with the people they claim to champion if they do so themselves. Soccer is the most widely practiced sport in the world, and people who immigrate to the United States do n’t just give up. If you want to join immigrants, play football. And if you do, you’ll also see that they’re no awakened.  ,
This does not mean that immigrants are all innate liberals who are eager to support Republican as soon as possible. It is just that they are not woke, and this is easy to see because wokeness has so many laws, norms, and rituals. All you need to do is notice people who love soccer and their children who are immigrants, saying or acting in ways that may cause them to be abducted from any Ivy League campus, which is not a lot of social study required to realize this.
This pattern persists in many other occupations and milieus, and it is not difficult to identify this apprehension in a thorough social analysis. If Democrats want to know why they are losing Latinos, dark men, and other parties they regard as political courtiers, they need merely look around.
The Democrat Party and its affiliated institutions were the first to recognize the dangers, but they were also a target for intimidation from an unhappy and bad state ideology. Democrats were disproportionately focused on policies that were viewed as useless at best and as irritating or irksome at worst, while simultaneously urging Democrats to be inept.  ,
The outcome was a political describe, with most voters realizing that Democrats were more concerned with securing the border than they did about securing the gender gap, about pronouns than police, and more about identification politics than inflation.  ,
Socialists have a negative outlook on America, in reality. The elements of wokeness — critical race theory, trans ideology, and suchlike — are dangerous and divisive, and they offer no real desire to their members.  ,
Yet some on the left are cognizant of this. For example, after the vote, New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg wrote,” In the longer term, we’ll have democratic elections that are about more than just fending off the right”. She acknowledged the disparity between the Democrat and Republican rulers, noting that” no one has ever managed to unite a partnership made up of blue-collar voters who value history and social security. Perhaps it’s no more probable, but at the very least it will require a realistic picture of how a prosperous liberal society would look.
This is an inherent admission that leftism has failed, no just electorally, but as a governing theory and even as a way of living. Goldberg’s reaction to the poll results demonstrates this, as she acknowledges that her “instinct is surrender into my home.” It comes naturally to react to battle in this way. It is also extremely at odds with Goldberg’s occupation, which she has dedicated to attacking the biological family and its primordial unity of mom, father, and child.  ,
Leftism has reached a dead finish and will continue until the “affluent, educated, liberal elites” Goldberg abandon their awakened obsessions and learn to manage for the common good, which starts with acknowledging that a prosperous society’s foundation is founded on the biological family. If never, our leaders will sometimes guide us to destroy or be replaced.
Voters are attempting the former, and Wall Street’s society may experience the surprise of the vote. Folks are fed up with intellectual whims and are incompetent. They genuinely do n’t want to live in conformity to the strange idioms and dogmas of awakening. If liberals had abandoned their balloons and spent time with the people they allegedly championed, they would have known this sooner. And grass can be touched by kicking a football game about.
