A 14-year-old child admitted sexually assaulting a 91-year-old girl after breaking into her house. The event occurred in June, prompting an inspection by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The target contacted officers, reporting that she had been sexually assaulted in her house. She claimed to have discovered the girl inside her home when she awoke. The girl reported that the boy sexually assaulted and beat her.
The young initially denied presence and pointed to a friend’s video footage that showed a person running near in similar clothes the night before. But, DNA evidence linked him to the violence image, leading to his arrest.
The 14-year-old confessed to entering the defendant’s home, actually assaulting her, and committing sexual power. He claimed to have entered through the defendant’s iPad and admitted to watching porn on the victim’s bedroom entrance.
The victim claimed to know the teenager and had previously referred to him as a” good boy” to the police.
Following his arrest, Sheriff Billy Woods remarked on the situation, stating,” This type of unfathomable crime is also surprising to me after all of my decades in law police”. He continued,” It shocks me that anyone would commit such a crime on a 91-year-old, but it is certainly unsettling when we see the arrestee’s young age.”
The girl, charged as an adult with physical assault and crime, was transferred to the Department of Juvenile Justice. His December 19 imprisonment is scheduled.
