A camera firm in Shenzhen, China, is offering dollars bonuses to employees who go on dates, aiming to improve employee happiness and build a sense of belonging, South China Moring Post reported.
Insta360 will award workers 66 yuan ( US$ 9 ) for each post they make on the company’s online dating platform introducing single people from outside the organization.
A 1, 000 yuan ( US$ 140 ) bonus will be given to each employee who successfully matches with someone through the platform and continues to communicate with them for three months.
As of November 11, almost 500 comments have been made on the business platform, and almost 10, 000 renminbi has been distributed in awards for sharing posts about one individuals. No relationship payouts have been provided as of yet because the campaign is only three months old.
The program has been met with mixed emotions. While some employees are passionate, with one laughing:” My business is more anxious than my mum”, others online have expressed criticism, stating:” Like should not be measured by income”.
The company’s move comes amid worries over China’s declining marriage and delivery costs. The birth rate in the nation hit a record lower in 2023, according to government records, and the number of registered relationships has decreased significantly.
