Russia has started producing smart bomb shelters in large numbers to shield against a wide range of threats, including radiation from nuclear explosions and shockwaves.
The incident agency’s study university said the “KUB-M” house may provide protection for 48 hrs against these and other natural and man-made risks.
Among those it listed were: bombs and debris from conventional weaponry, falling dust from buildings, harmful chemicals and flames.
A professional block and a place for 54 people make up the “KUB-M,” which looks like a reinforced delivery container. More units can be added if needed, the academy said.
The decision was made in isolation from any present crisis, though it was made days after US President Joe Biden approved of the country’s ability to launch long-range missiles into Russia, a move that the Kremlin criticized as foolish and would sway Moscow.
A fresh established doctrine that lowers Russia’s ban on nuclear weapons was approved by President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.
The research academy described the smart house as” a functional structure that provides safety for people from various hazards, including natural tragedies and man-made accidents,” calling it” an important step toward improving the safety of citizens.”
It can easily be transported on a vehicle and connected to water resources, and can also be deployed in Russia’s great northern ice, it added.
