Jason” Sundance” Head, the winner of” The Voice,” claims he was relieved to be alive after shooting himself in the stomach on his East Texas ranch.
Agent Trey Newman said in a statement that the Season 11 success shot himself on Friday while hunting alone in the woods. Head was airlifted to a hospital in Tyler, Texas, about 100 kilometers west of Dallas and about three hours from his remote Texas house after being struck in the abdomen shortly that evening.
No serious organs were damaged, according to Head’s agent, who confirmed that the singer had never needed surgery. He stated after on Friday that Head would be released. The Times contacted Newman for remark on Monday, but he did not respond right away.
His partner, Misty, claimed in an release posted on Head’s checked Facebook account that his spouse was shot after entering his car with his.22 calibre pistol, but the gun “hit the Jeep just right and went off.”
” Sundance said it happened so fast and he could see the gun dislodging”, she wrote in the article. He put his hands in his phone right away after being hit, but the phone was only filled with blood, so he drove out of the road to the primary route to call a vehicle down for assistance. After ten cars, one reacted and dialed 911.
The song thanked the” pair of boys” who stopped to help him,” the good Lord above,” first rescuers, and a stress group affiliated with the University of Texas at Tyler in his own release on Sunday.
” I knew I was going to pass away,” she said. In a Facebook movie, he claimed it was one of the craziest stuff that had ever happened to him. ” I am dead. I’m in a lot of problems. I was shot unwittingly in the chest. I was only. It was one of the craziest stuff that could’ve possibly happened. ” Without you, man, I do n’t think I was going to make it, man. I was bleeding out right there, without any one to assist me, and, as you may have noticed, about a dozen cars passed by and made eye contact with me, but they did n’t stop, so they just kept going. I was at the end of the rope”, he said.
He claimed he is still in the shot and is unsure of what to expect next.
” All I know is that I did n’t die [ Friday ] and that I have another chance to live, and I feel blessed that God has given me sobriety, a chance to learn about myself once more, a spirit I could be proud of and want to share with everyone, and the chance to live and be able to share my life’s experiences through song,” the singer says. And that’s how I speak, and that’s the only factor I understand how to do.
In a separate article, Misty Head said she wanted “y’all to see how fortunate he was” by sharing a photo of the broken black tank top Head was wearing at the time of the incident.
” Any higher or lower would have been devastating”, she wrote, noting where the shot went through the cloth and into her husband.
Country singer Blake Shelton coached Head on” The Voice” in 2016. Prior to that, he competed on” American Idol” in 2007 and made it to the semifinals of the Fox singing competition.
