A 35-year-old pediatrician, Dr. John Ellis, died in UK after administering medication used for dog death on himself. According to The Independent, Dr. Ellis was struggling with the mental strain of his job.
Dr Ellis ‘ mother, Tina Ellis, a Liberal chairman, testified that her brother was disturbed by pet owners who prioritized material possessions over their animals ‘ well-being.
” When I’ve got somebody saying they wo n’t pay to help their animal and they’re sitting there with a brand new car outside, and other people who were really struggling]financially ] would do anything to save their animals, but there was nothing they could do because it was already too late”, Ellis recalled her son saying. She added,” He was finding that destroying”.
Adding to his grief, Dr Ellis was apparently leading a complex individual existence, involving a long-term lover and another romantic attention.
In November 2022, Dr Ellis told his mother he planned to stop his 12-year marriage. He then acquired the death drugs from Animed, a clinical practice, under the pretext of euthanizing a sister’s puppy.
Dr. Ellis contacted both his spouse and the other person who was a part of his life after obtaining the medication. He was afterwards discovered in a friend’s home’s bath, where he was eventually taken to a hospital where he was later declared dead.
