Around 4: 50 p. m. on Thursday, my telephone began lighting up. Nearly everyone I knew texted me, ancient friends from my Los Angeles time, new friends from my neighborhood, town dwellers, and other people who shared the same Amen for Trump’s election of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as head of the Department of Health and Human Services. The fireplace and forearm muscles emojis appeared in numerous of those texts.  ,
Those of us who have been supporting him since the” Create America Healthy Again” activity knew he was onto something, even though many are torn between the pull and the criticism of him as nothing more than a “vaccine denier.” Through our own health experiences, we understood that America does n’t have a health care system, it has a sick care system — one that, unfortunately, people have become used to. But as Jiddu Krishnamurti, a renowned Indian philosopher and speaker, once said,” It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society” . ,
It is now an oddity not to have at least one, if not many, orange tube with child-protective white cap on them in the medicine cabinet. And it’s challenging to encourage a world that is medically dependent to consider their health critically.
I’ll never forget the incident involving a graduate student who unintentionally revealed she was taking drugs a few years earlier. Many of us looked at her, a much astonished at the entrance. ” Wait, is n’t everyone on SSRIs?? ” ? , she responded.
For years now, illness and disease have been normalized. Frequent doctor visits, countless side effects from medicines requiring more treatment, results of testing and blood draws — all in a day’s labor for the typical American. It has grown increasingly popular to diagnose and treat ailments.  ,
Our final payment for cancer and drug research is finally made up of trillions of dollars that are spent on enormous hospital systems, big hospital systems, and behemoth insurance conglomerates. The United States is the world’s highest per capita health care provider, but overall, we are the least well-off country in the world in terms of health care spending.  ,
No state has an adult fat level below 20 %, with about 3 in 4 people in America being overweight or obese. According to the CDC, 38.4 million people in the United States have diabetes ( nearly 12 percent ), 8.7 million are undiagnosed, and 97.6 million have pre-diabetes. Early-onset tumor symptoms are up 79 percentage over the last three years.
Individuals find these figures more disturbing than Kennedy’s session, a person with the chops to solve the issue. Some of us know what RFK Jr. knows: Disease, addiction, and depression, while typical, are n’t right. The human body is not intended to be in a permanent position of illness. It is meant to cure itself and live, given the proper conditions.
When our doctors wo n’t listen to us, we either listen to our bodies or we completely avoid going to the doctor’s office, looking for alternative healing methods that insurance wo n’t cover. Typically, we spend thousands, if not thousands, of money, knowing we’ll keep money in the long run by not being ensnared in the biomedical-pharmaceutical diverse and comprehensive schemes.  ,
When no one would provide it, we resisted getting an mRNA killed in a hurry and asked for more information.  , Many of us getting made fun of for our espresso laxatives, castor oil packs, emphasis on cooking our own food, declining excessive drinking, and variety of vegetables and essential oils.  , Even our exercise and fitness routines have been demonized and billed as right-wing extremism. We do n’t care because we are aware that there is a better alternative to what many of us have been duped into believing for too long.
Americans accustomed to three-letter agencies telling us what to do, assuming they knew better than we did. We’ve grown used to relying on bad food recommendations from the FDA (avoiding animal fat ), bad disease recommendations from the CDC ( high cholesterol leads to heart attacks ), and bad medication recommendations ( statins for everyone )! based on subpar science that the NIH brought to you and paid for by those who profit by treating Americans to a large profit.  ,
Some claim that Kennedy will actually cause more harm than good, as Kevin Roberts of the Heritage Foundation put it in a press release shortly after Kennedy’s nomination. However, like most of the perils our country faces right now, it ca n’t get much worse.  ,
Ultimately, when it comes to our health, it’s up to us to take power out of the hands of the bureaucracy and return it to its proper place: back to our land and our families. If Trump and Kennedy can convince us to make health the new norm, not sickness, then they can do that.  ,
