No’reasonable premises’ are presented for the Human Rights Commission’s determination that Hammer broke anti-discrimination rules.
After receiving criticism for claiming that there are only two women, the Maine Human Rights Commission recently declared that Professor Christy Hammer of the University of Southern Maine is not accountable for any wrongdoing.
The MHRC published a report stating that the school and Hammer did not violate Maine’s anti-discrimination rules, following a proper issue from Elizabeth Leibiger, a student who identifies as non-binary, the Maine Wire reported.
The Maine Wire made the facts public this year despite the fact that the report was written in August. The MHRC provided a copy of the report via email and phone calls, but The College Fix did not hear again.
Leibiger allegedly called the professor” she” instead of “he” in an unintentional reference to the teacher and her “affirmation of binary biological sex” as” she” in a class ad accusing her of creating a hostile environment in the classroom.
According to MHRC analyst Colin Hurd, there are no fair grounds to believe that Elizabeth Leibiger was discriminated against by the University of Southern Maine because of her gender identity.
Further,” ]t ] here are No Reasonable Grounds to believe that Christy Hammer interfered with Elizabeth Leibiger’s right to be free of discrimination based on gender identity, and the complaint should be dismissed”, Hurd stated.
” Biologists are canceled if they do n’t admit that there’s a sex spectrum, there’s some gradations between male and female. According to one biologist, there are people who are born with nine fingers and those who are born with 11, but we do n’t define finger count as a spectrum, Hammer told the Maine Wire.
Hammer stated in her training class that she believes “only male and female natural sexes exist,” as previously reported by The College Fix.
The majority of the students claimed that both gender and genetic sexual are on a spectrum, leading to heated debates in the class. In rally, several students reportedly left the school.
In a letter to the Department of Education and Human Development, the majority of the group requested a meeting with Hammer regarding therapeutic fairness.
During the three-hour meeting, students tried to “force her to retract her statement that there are only two sexes” and “berat]ed ] her for refusing to announce her preferred pronouns”, the Maine Wire reported.
The school did not replace Hammer, despite Leibiger’s ask. However, according to the outlet, it “allegedly attempted to force her to proclaim her pronouns and alter how she discussed physical distinctions in course.”
According to the Wire, the doctor is now looking for a lawyer to defend her in court as she files a lawsuit against the university for allegedly ludicrous conversation.
