Democratic Eric Hovde’s conceded this week that Wisconsin’s largest town had legitimate concerns about the state’s election administration. With voting tabulation device security breaches and another election integrity issues once dogging Milwaukee’s vote count, the questions were natural. The noisy Election Day caused Ron Johnson, Wisconsin’s top legislator, to conclude that Milwaukee election administration was as “grossly inept” as he’s ever seen.  ,
However, Hovde received a stern evaluation from the advertising media for not recognising the election until nearly two weeks after it was raised as “debunked election conspiracies.” They made hints or explicit accusations that the Madison Republican, one of their favorite fraudulent crimson letters, was an “election sceptic” for weighing a pricey recount of an election he appeared to have lost to Democrat Sen. Tammy Baldwin by less than 1 %. And many of the companion internet balances said nothing about Sen. Bob Casey, D-Penn., dragging the jump position through a long, terrible, and expensive tell, demanding counties count invalid votes even as his Democratic opponent, Dave McCormick, has been declared the winner.  ,
In his agreement videos, Hovde once noted the “many disturbing issues”, including Milwaukee’s regular morning-after absentee ballot count discharge. Republicans, Democrats, and democratic election officials all refuted the claims of misconduct Hovde made, according to an Associated Press article. The tale did not mention that election officials, including Johnson and Wisconsin GOP president Brian Schimming, expressed concern about the finding of 13 unprotected ballots, which allegedly necessitated the recall of more than 30 000 absentee ballots.  ,
‘ Red Mirage ‘ Prediction ,
The vote count, according to multiple sources, did n’t begin until nearly three hours after the opening bell, despite state law’s law requiring election officials to wait until after the polls open at 7 a.m. on Election Day to begin counting the ballots.  ,
In the days and weeks leading up to the election, “republicans and Democrats alike warned, along with status and Milwaukee vote leaders, that the Milwaukee absentee ballots may be reported delayed and result in a significant flood of Democratic seats,” according to the AP.  ,
In fact, the apparently clairvoyant Ben Wikler, chairman of the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, told MSNBC the day before the election that Republicans could expect a “red mirage” in Milwaukee — leading to big wins for Democrats.  ,
” So, in Milwaukee,  , you ‘ll , see 100 % of precincts reporting before you see the numbers that come out of those early votes in person, and those absentee ballots, which, my guess is, are heavily weighted toward Harris supporters”, Wikler predicted on the leftist news network. That means that you’re going to see a red mirage because the absentee ballots have n’t been tallied and reported, and then the blue shift when those ballots are introduced to the totals. That might occur in the evening. It certainly was in 2020″.
It certainly was. Curiously so. A liberal activist who is connected to the infamous Zuckbucks grants of 2020 congratulated Milwaukee’s election administrator for “delivering just the margin needed at 3:00 a.m.” as The Federalist reported. for Democratic candidate Joe Biden to defeat Republican President Donald Trump in Wisconsin. The email, obtained through open records requests, certainly did n’t bolster confidence in Democrat bastion Milwaukee delivering “free and fair elections” . ,
This time around Trump won the swing state by more than 29, 000 votes,  , about the same number by which Hovde lost the Senate race.  ,
Incredible Turnout
Hovde also raised questions about Milwaukee suburbs ‘ record-breaking voter turnout. Milwaukee election officials, defended by their pals in corporate media, said, Nothing to see here. It’s completely normal. They argued that Wisconsin’s law, which sometimes allows same-day voter registration on Election Day, will increase turnout rates beyond 100 %.  ,
Milwaukee’s Ward 158, for instance, saw turnout at nearly 106 percent, according to the city’s unofficial election results. The ward counted 1, 196 total registered voters as Election Day dawned, but took in 1, 263 total ballots thanks to same-day registration.  ,
Ward 186 saw voter turnout at 126.5 percent, according to the city. By the time the polls closed, nearly 300 more ballots had been cast, compared to the ward’s registered voter total of 1,078, which was lower.  ,
And Ward 335 posted 148.5 percent voter turnout — beginning with 280 registered voters, ending Election Day with 416 ballots cast.
Long lines of same-day registered voters turned out for the election on Election Day, according to observers who spoke with The Federalist. Election integrity opponents claim that that is not improper.  ,
However, according to Hans von Spakovsky, an expert on election law, voter integrity is at risk in the 23 states and the District of Columbia. According to the former director of the Heritage Foundation’s Election Law Reform Initiative, the federal election commission’s election-day voter registration program causes many states to perform so poorly on the foundation’s Election Integrity Scorecard. Wisconsin ranks 11th, hurt by its wide-open same-day registration law and lax citizenship verification standards, but helped by its strong voter ID laws and ballot harvesting restrictions.  ,
On Tuesday on the” Vicki McKenna Show” in Milwaukee, von Spakovsky said,” You have no opportunity whatsoever to verify that any of the information they’ve given you is actually accurate.
History keeps repeating.
Wisconsin’s largest city has a history of trouble on the same-day front.  ,
A Special Investigations Unit of the Milwaukee Police Department’s report on voter fraud in the 2004 presidential election in 2008 revealed that” the reports of more ballots cast than voters recorded were accurate.
The report noted that “more than 10 % of the ballots cast in Ward 39 during the 2004 General Election were not properly certified by the Election Inspectors or were ineligible to be cast in this Ward.”
The report stated that “over 2600 additional people who do not live in Sandburg Hall are registered and able to vote from addresses where they do not reside.”  ,
In conclusion, the report advised:  ,
There is no other way to ensure that only eligible voters cast ballots on Election Day, as the Task Force investigators believe that the elimination of the On-Site or Same Day voter registration system is the best way to prevent a large percentage of fraud or the appearance of fraudulent voting, out of all other recommendations we can make.
According to John Fund, a columnist for the time who was reporting on the investigation, there had been an “illegal organized attempt to influence the outcome of an election in the state of Wisconsin.”
Ineligible voters cast ballots, felons did the voting, transient college students did the voting, and homeless voters may have cast their ballots more than once, according to Fund. According to the report, incompetence as a result of abysmal record-keeping and inadequate poll workers was the source of the issue.
The Milwaukee Election Commission’s election administration team was protected from the most recent criticism.  ,
The MEC applauds Milwaukee residents ‘ efforts to participate in the democratic process and is confident that Mr. Hovde’s accusations are untrue, according to a statement from the commission. ” Milwaukee voters can rest assured: the MEC conducted a fair, accurate, and secure election that fully protects voter rights and preserves the democratic process”, the statement said.
Von Spakovsky is not so confident. He claimed that Milwaukee’s election-day issues are “history repeating itself.”
” My reaction was,’ Oh, no, not again,’ because it’s like election officials there just ca n’t seem to run elections very well. They just seem to have these kind of problems every election”, he said, adding that state officials should conduct an “intensive audit” of Milwaukee election operations.  ,
