House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La. ) took a courageous have Wednesday, announcing a new plan that pubs biological males from using children’s bathrooms in the U. S. Capitol. The walk, detailed in a media release that PJ Media obtained, reflects a crucial step in prioritizing the privacy and protection of children’s areas.

” All single-sex services in the Capitol and House Office Buildings — such as bathroom, changing rooms, and bag areas— are reserved for people of that natural sex”, the speech said.  ,
Johnson’s announcement comes after Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S. C. ) took a stand for women’s privacy and safety by introducing legislation to bar biological men who “identify” as women from using women’s facilities in the U. S. Capitol. Mace’s policy was a preemptive walk away of Tim” Sarah” McBride, a transgender-identifying person elected to the House of Representatives, being sworn in this coming January.  ,
Johnson remarked that “unisex restrooms are available throughout the Capitol and that each Member business has its own private room.” ” Ladies deserve women’s sole spots”.
On Tuesday, Johnson dodged a question about whether Mace’s expenses would be introduced.
” I’m not going to handle the programs on any of that”, Johnson explained. I only let you know what I’m going to say about the situation. I’m not going to indulge in this. We do n’t look down upon anyone. Everyone is treated with respect and integrity. That’s a process that I’ve pursued my entire life. And we will handle this issue, as we will any other problem, as you know, to make a first impact on Congress. Every member of Congress may receive the appropriate accommodations.”

” Let me be firmly obvious”, he added. A person is a woman, and a person is a female. And a person may be a woman”.
It seemed like Johnson was hoping for a non-legislative solution to this issue, and at the time, he’s taken a distinct stand for protecting children’s privacy and dignity.  ,
A writer earlier this afternoon inquired about Johnson’s ability to enforce the policy.  ,
” Yeah, like all home plans, it’s enforceable”, he said. ” But we have single-sex services for a purpose, and people deserve women’s sole spaces. And we’re never anti-anyone.  , We’re pro-woman. And I think it’s an important scheme for us to proceed. It’s always been, I guess, an informal scheme, but now it’s in writing”.
Speaker Johnson simply today:” Yeah like all House plans it’s legal. Look, we have single-sex services for a purpose. People deserve women’s single spaces. And we’re never anti-anyone, we’re pro-woman. I think it’s an important plan for us to maintain”. photograph. twitter.com/m3FakHHoz7— Ellis Kim ( @elliskkim ) November 20, 2024
Something tells me this fight is n’t over.
McBride blasted Mace’s policy earlier this month. Much right-wing radicals ‘ obvious attempt to detract from the reality that they have no real solutions to the issues Americans are currently facing, he claimed in a blog on X. ” We should be focused on bringing down the cost of accommodation, health care, and baby care, never manufacturing society wars”.

In another speech, McBride said:

Mace praised the plan, but she insisted that the conflict is still ongoing.
Bless you , @SpeakerJohnson!
