Liberals who believe Donald Trump to be a totalitarian dictator do exactly this. Rob Reiner has gone so far as to check into a “facility for peace and relaxation” because he simply ca n’t handle the reality of Trump’s victory. Sure, I was n’t thrilled when Barack Obama won in 2008 or when he was reelected in 2012. The 2020 election was n’t exactly a highlight, either. But you know what? I did n’t let it drive me to the brink. Even the utterly immoral idea that some famous people are visiting the country after Trump’s victory but instead checking into a mental health facility afterward? It demonstrates how obstructed the extreme returned has become.
