Sean Diddy Combs ‘ defense lawyers claimed a widely circulated video of him supposedly attacking Cassie Ventura was “edited” and fabricated about the March 2016 event at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles.
Federal prosecutors cited this movie as proof of sex trafficking, implying that Combs had forced Ventura to perform sex acts with female prostitutes during “freak off” sessions to back up the sex trafficking allegations. According to them, this demonstrated the danger that he might present to people if given loan.
Prosecutors allegedly fabricated the tale using an altered version of the images, according to the defense team. They claimed that the video showed a local dispute where Combs chased his things down the lodge corridor, including clothing and a cell phone.
Defence lawyer Alexandra Shapiro said in a court processing,” The more perfect film of the incident– in contrast to the government’s exaggerated CNN cut– contradicts the government’s representations”. She added that the defendant’s version altered the course of events and omitted critical footage.
The defense made an offer to testify as a forensic video researcher at the court hearing on Friday, when Combs ‘ loan status will be determined. The prosecutor has now excluded Combs ‘ handwritten jail notes from attention, following military concerns about attorney-client privilege.
Prosecutors are convinced that Combs ‘ continued confinement will be justified by the video evidence. The film shows Brushes pursuing Ventura, grabbing her throat, forcing her to the floor, kicking her, and dragging her by her sweater across the surface.
Following CNN’s release of the film in May, Combs acknowledged his steps. In an Instagram clip, he said,” I was disgusted therefore, when I did it. I’m disgusted today. I went there and sought expert assistance. I got into going to remedy, going to surgery. I pleaded with God for his kindness and kindness.
Ventura settled a complaint against Combs that alleged sexual abuse and trafficking in November 2023. Court records revealed her claims that Combs “often punched, hit, kicked and stomped” on her throughout their marriage.
