President Trump announced his new choice for the place shortly after Matt Gaetz removed his name from attorney general attention.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump appoints past governor of the Great State of Florida, Pam Bondi, as our next attorney general. ” Pam was a counsel for nearly 20 decades, where she was very hard on Aggressive Criminals, and made the roads safe for Florida People. Therefore, as Florida’s first woman Attorney General, she worked to stop the smuggling of dangerous drugs, and lessen the drama of Fentanyl Overdose Deaths, which have destroyed many people across our Country”.

Trump continued,” She did for an outstanding job that I asked her to function on our opiate and substance abuse committee during my first name; we saved many lives.”
Trump said Bondi will take over the Department of Justice’s reins, but Matt Gaetz wo n’t be the next attorney general. “ For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans—Not anymore“, he declared. “ Pam will reorient the DOJ toward making America safe again while pursuing its intended goal of preventing crime.“
Confident in her abilities, Trump added,” She will do a terrific job as Attorney General”!
On Thursday afternoon, Matt Gaetz removed his name from consideration for the post.
” I had excellent meetings with Senators yesterday”, Gaetz said in a statement. I appreciate their thoughtful suggestions and the wide range of people’s unwavering support. Although the momentum was strong, it is obvious that my confirmation was unfairly stifling the crucial work of the Trump/Vanes Transition.
He continued,” I’ll be removing my name from consideration to serve as Attorney General because there is no time wasted on a needlessly drawn-out scuffle in Washington.” On Day 1, Trump’s DOJ must be operational and ready.

Gaetz continued to be “fully committed” to ensuring Donald J. Trump’s status as the most prosperous president in history.

Matt Gaetz ‘ recent efforts to become the attorney general have greatly helped, Trump wrote. ” He was doing very well but, at the same time, did not want to be a distraction for the Administration, for which he has much respect. I look forward to watching Mattt accomplish great things in the future.

Matt Gaetz’s nomination faced significant difficulties, as well as lingering rumors of a sexual scandal and lingering doubts about his temperament and experience.
