Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY ) criticized President-elect Donald Trump over his plans to engage the military to help deport illegal immigrants.

Trump made it known earlier this week that his administration would consider a federal emergency and apply military resources to fulfill his campaign promise to deport illegal immigrants. &nbsp,

Paul broke with the president-elect over the news during a Newsmax interview on Tuesday, despite his strong support for Trump’s health policy priorities for his second term in office. &nbsp,

He claimed,” I do n’t support having the Army marching in uniforms to our cities to collect people.” ” That’s not what we use our military for. We always have. And in fact, bringing the Army into our places has been prohibited for over 100 times.

As the Senate nears good difficult confirmation hearings, Paul has emerged as a key supporter of the president-elect in the lower room. He has supported some of Trump’s most senior government members. Paul is a pal of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is Trump’s candidate to head the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as previous Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, whom the former senator tapped to be the director of national intelligence.

Paul has also praised Trump’s decision to establish a fresh Department of Government Performance, which aims to promote innovation and reduce administrative waste. &nbsp,

Paul supports stronger border security measures and addressing improper immigration, despite not backing Trump for president this time. The Kentucky legislator is not a fan of Trump’s ideas to use military resources to deport illegal immigrants, though. &nbsp,

” The enemy is trained in our Army and our defense,” says the statement. They’re never trained to get a permit to do what they’re doing”, he said Tuesday, later concluding that” the officers have a difficult task, but the persons removing citizens from our country need to be a police protection domestic firm, not the military”.
