An expert physician witness testified on Thursday that Marie Daniel Penny did not put Had in a chokehold to defend other metro passengers.

Dr. Satish Chundru, who is a criminal pathologist , in Texas,  , testified before the Manhattan Supreme Court , regarding the , examination records and digital evidence surrounding the death of poor criminal Had after he threatened another train passengers and Penny tried to restrain him. Like in the case of George Floyd, data shows Had does not really have died from strangulation, but rather from drug- and schizophrenia-related problems.
Had was detained 44 days before his rapid death, including for numerous assaults and attempted child abductions. When Penny stowed him with a chokehold while he was poor and had an arrest warrant for him, he was subdued by his disturbing words and actions on the Manhattan train. Had eventually died, but Dr. Chundru says he believes that Neely’s fatality was n’t caused by the chokehold.
The New York Post reported that when Penny’s attorney asked if his client had choked Neely to death, Dr. Chundru answered emphatically,” No, the chokehold did not cause death”. Instead, the doctor added,” the combined effects of spear body crisis, the schizophrenia, the conflict and restriction, and the chemical marijuana” caused Neely’s death. According to the doctor, there is an “increased risk of sudden cardiac death” for schizophrenia, which Had obviously experienced.

According to Chundru, who has testified on Penny’s behalf about two “medically recognized chokeholds” and why evidence suggests Neely did n’t die from either, he claimed he has worked as a medical examiner for the counties of Florida and Texas. According to The Post, Chundru described the body strangle and the weather choke as “discrepancies” in Neely’s health data because he had a history of both drug and mental illness. These disparities included chest bruises and “almost small” bleeding areas on Neely’s eyelids. The doctor claimed that no deadly chokehold could be identified from the symptoms he had looked at.
Had was declared to have died of suffocation by the town medical examiner Cynthia Harris, who argued that she would n’t change her findings despite the fact that Neely had sufficiently drugs in his system to “put down an rhino.”
Harris testified earlier this week that she and the other doctors at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, including the captain, believed that Neely’s death was caused by “asphyxia”, consistent with being choked, after seeing a writer’s picture of the poor gentleman “dying” with Penny’s shoulder wrapped around his throat.

In Chundru, Neely’s attorneys requested a potentially less biased and more academic medical expert. The physician did accept under cross-examination that some of Neely’s signs were consistent with suffocation, while others were n’t. He also claimed to have witnessed incidents linked to K2 contamination only. Had … had the artificial marijuana in his system at the time of his death, test facts has shown”, the Post explained.
Neely was black, making an outrageous claim about race, while Penny was demonized by the media because he is white. Neely’s threatening behavior was witnessed by numerous eyewitnesses before Penny made an effort to restrain him with a chokehold, according to the Post. According to Penny’s attorneys, Penny clearly did not intend to kill Neely, but rather did act to protect other people from the serial killer.
