Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla. ) has been a controversial figure in Congress, but it looks like his time in the House is coming to an end. He immediately resigned from Congress to ensure that his position may be filled fast in a particular election after President Trump’s nomination for attorney general. However, this year, he withdrew his name from thought.

Some people have been wondering what Gaetz will do after Donald Trump picks former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi as his new nomination. Some claimed that he could also get seated in the 119th Congress despite having left the 118th Congress.  ,
In an interview with Charlie Kirk, Gaetz has since addressed that speculative debate. Gaetz opened up about his decision to leave Congress and what the future holds for him and his political career during the conversation.
Gaetz, who has represented Florida’s 1st District since 2017, confirmed that he will not be a part of the 119th Congress. He did, however, insist that he would continue to support liberal values despite quitting his parliamentary position. ” I’m also going to be in the battle, but it’s going to be from a fresh perch”, Gaetz explained. ” I do not intend to join the 119th Congress”.
After 14 years of public support, Gaetz, then 42, says he feels it’s period for a change. ” I’ve got some other goals in life that I’m eager to pursue with my wife and my home”, he shared. Gaetz made it clear that his departure is not a conclusion, but rather a transition to new opportunities, despite his supporters ‘ disappointment that he wo n’t continue to serve in Congress.

As for the coming of his city, Gaetz expressed enthusiasm. He noted that many qualified individuals are stepping up to replace him, and he is looking forward to seeing his region prosper under new management. ” I’m really excited to see Northwest Florida go to new levels and have excellent representation”, he told Kirk.
Gaetz cited Florida’s prosperous term limits law as evidence of his resignation as well as his own time in office. ” In Florida, our citizens got to vote on name limitations for state authorities, and the strategy was’ eight is much.’ He continued,” It seems like a very artistic time to bring that great new body in.”
While he did n’t say exactly what he plans to do going forward, do n’t expect him to disappear from the political scene altogether. Whether he is in business or not, he reiterated his dedication to fighting for President Trump and the traditional activity.  ,
” Do n’t worry, I’m not going anywhere. I’m no taking off for, like, you know, a tropical vacation for the rest of my career. I am here to help preserve this country”, he said. ” We need excellent professionals on the outside. On the inside, we need strong congresswomen and lawmakers. Under President Trump, we require a command structure that will enable the continuation of our revolutionary transformation.
