A former K-9 who suffered abuse after she retired is in need of a fresh home in , Philadelphia.
One of the 28 puppies that Animal Law Enforcement rescued from a place where the dogs were supposed to be safe havens while they waited for new homes was Sosa, a 5-year-old European sheep. However, that’s not what was happening.
” When they retired and needed a place to go, K-9 , Hero Haven, a recovery business in , Northumberland province, offered them a place to settle and get fresh long houses”, the , Pennsylvania SPCA , said in a , May 24 , Facebook post.
” But instead of receiving a wonderful retirement, they were faced with the unimaginable. Respected dogs, who again gave all up for humanity, are now living in filth and neglect.
The puppies were taken in by the , Pennsylvania SPCA , and are available for adoption.
Sosa is described as a “retired Explosive Detection Dog” who has spent her career identifying threats and protecting people, according to her dog report.
Today, the sport dog is available for a permanent residence.
” Sosa is more than just a puppy – she’s a veteran with a history that deserves to be heard”, the SPCA said in a , Nov. 17 , Facebook post.
” When a dedicated working dog, Sosa gave her all in company. When she retired, she was sent to a rescue, but unfortunately, she did n’t receive the loving care she truly deserved.
One of the 28 dogs that our Animal Law Enforcement group rescued from a neglected home was this extraordinary girl. Then, she’s ready for her next chapter – a caring home where she can flourish in peace.”
The house noted that Sosa is an independent dog and would prefer to live in her new home where no other pets are present. She even is” water-obsessed” so snorkeling is one of her favourite pastimes.
” Sosa, along with ( three ) other retired working dogs in our care, needs a very unique family – someone with experience handling military or law enforcement-trained dogs,” the shelter said.
For more information on Sosa, attend the shelter’s site.
