Pam Bondi, the attorney general candidate for US President Donald Trump, has requested that names from the Jeffrey Epstein case files be made public. In Epstein’s situation, Bondi claimed that those who want to keep their identities secret have” no legitimate base” to do so.
Epstein, an American businessman linked to numerous high-profile people, died by suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking fees.

The amount of these individuals ‘ involvement in the case is still a mystery.
Speaking in a Fox News interview, Bondi questioned solicitor general Merrick Garland and the Justice agency’s silence on the subject.
” I’m curious as to why AG Garland and the Justice Department have been so polite evening. You know, they’re out there labeling parents home terrorists, yet they’re saying everything about this”, Bondi said.
Bondi criticized the delay in releasing related documents, and he also emphasized the context of US human trafficking.
” These files were released so slowly. People smuggling is a multi-billion-dollar business in this country. Additionally, Jeffrey Epstein has passed away. And Ghislaine Maxwell is in jail for 20 years where she belongs”, she said.
She argued that the people named in the record have no legal protection for their names unless they are children, patients, or cooperating accused in a possible case against Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex smuggler.
” Citizens in that document are still fighting to keep their names personal, Sean. They are unable to file a lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell unless they are a child, a survivor, or a cooperating accused by chance in a case against her. And I think Mark Geragos, a tremendous criminal defense attorney, did back that up as well”, she added.
Epstein was second arrested in Florida in 2005, accused of paying a 14-year-old girl for sex. Eventually, numerous other underage girls alleged related abuse. But, in 2008, he pleaded guilty to a lesser fee involving one survivor and served 13 months in jail under a work-release system.
Despite his judgment, Epstein continued to interact with wealthy and influential figures, generally through benevolent efforts, for another century.
Following a Miami Herald research, federal prosecutors in New York charged Epstein with sex trafficking in 2019.
Following Epstein’s suicide, his former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, was prosecuted for her part in recruiting young patients. She was convicted in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Legal experts anticipate problems if the documents are n’t disclosed because the names of those who are named may challenge privacy protections or contest their claims that the case is irrelevant. This could lead to more legitimate streits for a while.
