Toronto’s Original Santa Claus festival is set to enjoy its 120th time on Sunday, aiming to distribute holiday cheer to an estimated 750, 000 fans. The six-kilometer festival may have 27 hand-crafted hovers and over 2, 000 players.
David McCarthy, head of the Original Santa Claus Parade board of directors, expressed enthusiasm about the event, saying, as quoted by CBC News,” We’re expecting to provide the secret back to the city of Toronto again this year”.
Pre-parade actions
Kids can write letters to Santa Claus, eat sweets, and see Wiggles sun Emma Memma perform before she joins the festival at 10 am at Christie Pits.
IPL 2025 big bidding
At 11: 45 am, the Holly Jolly Run—a five-kilometer race with almost 2, 000 participants—will blow off the time. Mayor Olivia Chow may deliver remarks at 12: 15 p. m., actually launching the festival.
Parade way
Starting at 12: 30 am at Christie Pits, the festival will adopt a modified six-kilometer way according to design. Before arriving at St Lawrence Market at about 3 p.m., the procession will weave through the area along Bloor Street, west on St George Street, and south along Bloor Street.
Where to enjoy?
The Santa Claus Parade YouTube network will provide a substitute for the standard television broadcast of the festival live-streamed.

Funding issues
Despite celebrating the festival’s 100th anniversary and raising money, organizers worry about its potential because of declining sponsorships and rising costs. A$ 250, 000 funding gap remains for this year’s event.
As of Sunday, a GoFundMe strategy has raised more than$ 125, 000, and new donations from the city, county, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have given desire. McCarthy, but, emphasized the need for ongoing business and community support to ensure upcoming parades.
