His advancement is one of roughly 1, 000 defense offers that is awaiting Senate approval. Due to the delay, the Senate is unable to confirm Donahue’s advertising to a four-star standard and his ascendancy in US Army Europe.
Given Donahue’s position in the withdrawal from Afghanistan, Mullin has put a hold on the campaign in order to help Trump and the newly-elected Republican-controlled Congress to consider in, according to a CBS statement citing two sources with knowledge of the situation.
Some troops officials, according to the report, are working to get the hold lifted because they believe it is politically motivated.
