Following a harsh 60-foot drop down a hill in Pennsylvania that left him severely bruised and with a broken wrist, Jay Leno is updating fans about his wellbeing.
The actor and past” Now Show” number, 74, was hosting the inaugural , amfAR Las Vegas gain event , on Friday, when he assured visitors that he’s “feeling good”, People reports.
” I’ve got a broken wrist but I’m all right” , , he told reporters on the red carpet, where his , facial bruising appeared to be covered with makeup.
Leno’s appearance earlier this week made headlines when he was photographed wearing a wrist brace and an eye piece. While speaking with the internet on Tuesday, he explained that , he’d plummeted down a hill while walking to a restaurant , outside Pittsburgh last trip.
He explained to TMZ that he had to move about a mile and a half to make a route down a valley because he had no car there. ” I said,’ Well, the hill does n’t look that steep. It’s about 60-70 legs. Let me see if I may climb the hill.
Leno eventually rolled down the incline and struck a rock, leaving his mouth a black-and-blue color and opened attention.
Leno claimed he just visited the hospital after returning from L.A. and continued to perform his scheduled comic present that day.
” The present must go on”, he told TMZ.
The injury he sustained in the collapse are just the latest from a , series of incidents in recent years, starting with , third-degree burn on his mouth from a car fire , in November 2022. He had to spend some time at the , Grossman Burn Center , where he received skin implants.
Only two months later, he revealed that he ‘d , fallen from his bicycle and destroyed several bones, including his neck and two vertebrae.
