The owner of a castle in Burlington, Wisconsin, was arrested and charged on Friday after a big fireplace destroyed the ancient Meinhardt Mansion.
The Burlington Police Department said the Burlington Fire Department was called to a construction flames at the 200 block of South Kane Street on Friday at around 3:22 a.m.
A three-story house with big lights was discovered at 3:25 AM when the City of Burlington Fire Department arrived on the scene. MABAS alarms 920-01 was requested at 3: 33 AM to the 5th level”, the media release stated. First website crew arrived and launched a protective attack on the construction. More crews arrived and provided assistance during the defense assault until the fire was put out.
According to CBS 58, the ancient Meinhardt Mansion, which was built in 1883, was sold to Robert Staton in July.
In Friday’s hit launch, the Burlington Police Department announced that Staton faces charges for illegal burning of his own creating, the careless handling of burning materials, resisting or obstructing an official, and felony bail jumping.

Staton is being held in custody at the Racine County Jail on a$ 15800 relationship, according to the Burlington Police Department. The police department even confirmed that Friday’s castle fire remained” under research”.
On Saturday, the Burlington Fire Department released an update on Facebook, thanking the government for their” problem” with the castle fire. Fire officials claimed that the department was aware that” some smoking is still coming from the home” and that they were “evaluating the house several times a day”
Due to the damage in the home, we are unable to safely get the location where the dust is coming from, according to the Burlington Fire Department. ” The building may be stoking for the coming time.” We want to make sure that the neighborhood will continue to monitor the home and deal with any problems. Please remain outside of the peach enclosed area, the house is uncomfortable, and dangerous”.
