As part of a wider assault on illegal immigration and drug trafficking, US President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to implement significant tariffs on imports from China, Mexico, and Canada.
Trump’s intentions on Truth Social included a 25 % tariff on all products imported from Mexico and Canada, as well as an additional 10 % tariff on products imported from China.
Reacting to a blog that discusses Trump’s latest tax strategy, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to X and said,” Cost of Fentanyl did fall quickly”.
According to Trump,” as everyone knows, thousands of people are pouring through Mexico and Canada, bringing Crime and Pharmaceuticals to levels not before,” citing the issue of illegal immigration and illegal drugs.

He claimed that these levies would remain in place until Mexico and Canada act to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs. They may take effect on January 20.
