Meghan Markle’s potential return to the United Kingdom is uncertain, according to royal author Omid Scobie, who suggests Meghan Markle does n’t intend to.
According to Scobie’s guide Endgame, the Duchess of Sussex “never wants to step foot in England again”, as she “never actually felt at home” during her time in the country.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal duties in 2020, relocating to Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Meghan has officially stayed away from Meghan despite Harry making several trips back to the UK, including one earlier this year when he visited King Charles following his cancer treatment.
As per The Mirror, the next combined visit by the pair was in 2022 for Queen Elizabeth II’s death. Meghan “never wants to be involved in the English king again,” according to Scobie, despite persistent rumors about possible peace talks with the royal family.
In Endgame, which delves into the current status of the king, Scobie quotes Harry as saying,” I’m ready to move on past it. Whether we get an explanation or responsibilities, who knows: who truly cares at this point”? This declaration underscores Harry’s determination to resolve, contrasting with Meghan’s reported reluctance.
As per Express, the couple has purchased a vacation home in Portugal, which may serve as their Western center. But, Harry’s memoir Spare, which was published in the year, added another layer of richness to their relationships to the UK.
Harry has stated in an appearance on Good Morning America that he intends to keep in touch with his home and that he has plans to travel more. You know, I’ll quit in and see my family as much as I can because that would take me either through the UK or up to the UK.
Meghan’s reported inability to gain raises concerns about the child’s future interactions with the British royal family, despite Harry’s apparent willingness to fix gates.
