A Texas gentleman was sentenced to prison after authorities say he killed his ex-girlfriend and dismembered her brain because he thought she stole his dying dad’s Social Security cards.
Andres Perez Tarnava III was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison, according to court documents.
McClatchy News reached out to Tarnava’s counsel for post on Nov. 26 but did n’t immediately hear back.
Tarnava was accused of killing his ex-girlfriend , Marisol Klingelhofer, in April 2021, according to KSAT.
Tarnava believed Klingelhofer stole files belonging to his late parents, including his Social Security passport and ID, according to WOAI.
A see testified in court that Klingelhofer was visiting him when Tarnava approached them with a firearm, the San Antonio Express-News reported. The witness said he ran and thought Klingelhofer ran to, but when he turned to look, he saw Tarnava take her next bring her body into his car, the shop reported.
The testimony said Tarnava after told him that he took her figure to his house and “cut her up and burned her, ” according to the store.
When Tarnava was questioned by police, he said he shot Klingelhofer because he believed she stole his later father’s defense ID and Social Security cards, according to KSAT.
“You aren’t only going to take anything from me and just let it go, ” Tarnava told prosecutors, the outlet reported. “My daddy was my planet and I would do it again. ”
Researchers found a fire pit with two smaller barrels and tiny bones, according to the Express-News.
Klingelhofer was a family, according to KABB.
“We did n’t get to say goodbye, we did n’t get to give, I did n’t get to give her that last hug and tell her I love you, ” her daughter , Priscilla Gonzalez, told the news channel.
She also had an 11-year-old brother, the outlet reported.
“There is not a reason to use crime in any situation. Had the accused no taken matters into his own hands, Marisol may be alive today. Our company is usually ready to seek justice and today’s ruling is a depiction of that. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Marisol Klingelhofer, ” Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales told WOAI.
