On Tuesday, a Californian was detained at Los Angeles International Airport ( LAX ) on suspicion of trying to smuggle meth into Sydney, Australia. Security personnel on the ground when they discovered the medication, according to CNN, Raj Matharu, 39, was about to table a United Airlines trip.
At the doorway, law police intercepted Matharu. He acknowledged that his belongings were there. He was detained and accused of methamphetamine possession with intent to deliver.
The medicine was hidden in two suitcases, one green and one dark, that Matharu checked in. During a regular X-ray verification, officers noticed abnormalities in the luggage. Upon further examination, they found garments, including a calf onesie, that appeared thick and covered in a light flour. Meth was a total of over 70 pounds of clothes. Testing confirmed the powder was meth. More than one gram of the substance was recovered by authorities.
According to US Attorney Martin Estrada,” Drug dealers are constantly inventing creative ways to smuggle dangerous narcotics in search of illicit profit,” according to the US attorney.
According to court records, the clothes was most likely dried out in methamphetamine and dried, a practice used in trafficking. On Monday, Matharu will be scheduled to appear in court on a$ 10,000 relationship.
