Before it’s too late, some are calling for President Joe Biden to forgive his family and lawyers, among people, before the time runs out on his final year in business.
WHICH BIDEN EXECUTIVE Directions WILL BE THE FIRST TO GO UNDER TRUMP?
After revealing that he had fraudulently owned a firearm while using drugs, Biden’s second child was found guilty of three national gun-related felonies in June.
The government’s troubled child, 54, has also been the theme of a national criminal investigation that dates back to 2018. In September, he pleaded guilty to a slew of tax expenses.
Although the commander in chief has said that the commander in chief wo n’t pardon his own son, Joe Biden has little political gain as a lame duck whose party wo n’t be occupying the White House until January 2025. The president was spotted Friday evening dinner with his family, including Hunter Biden, at the Brotherhood of Thieves restaurant in Nantucket, Massachusetts.
2. Trump’s perceived rivals
Lawyers who have sued President-elect Donald Trump over the past four years are at the top of the approaching government’s revenge list, especially if he uses his version of “lawfare,” or “lawfare through law” to defend those who followed him under the leadership of Biden.
Under the upcoming Trump administration, Biden had actively pardon them before taking legal action.
Specific lawyers Jack Smith, the appointed attorney who earlier dropped two national instances against Trump in two studies involving possible 2020 election intervention and the improper handling of classified documents, is at the top of the list. Since being appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in November 2022 to handle two prior-emerged Justice Department criminal investigations against the former president, Smith had been a hawthorn in Trump’s area.
Dr. Anthony Fauci, a former pandemic expert for Trump, may get a proactive pardon until 2022 for his leadership of the nation’s pandemic. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA ) has said Fauci belongs in prison.
Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA ) urged Biden to act, noting the number of Democrats Trump has threatened to sue in the past, including Biden.
” If it’s clear by Jan. 19 that ]revenge ] is his intention, then I would recommend to President Biden that he provide those preemptive pardons to people because that’s really what our country is going to need next year”, Markey told , Boston Public Radio.
In a post to X, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL ), a steadfast supporter of Trump, said that Republicans could pursue a number of prosecutors and judges who have brought charges against him in the court system.
” Jack Smith, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, and Juan Merchan have weaponized the justice system for political gain, targeting President Trump to tamper with the vote”, Luna wrote on Tuesday. ” They failed. Accountability is coming”!

3. Donald Trump
Trump may face issues in the quiet money case involving Stormy Daniels, at least while he is the leader, even though he will be exempt from DOJ specific trials.
Trump was convicted in May, but his November imprisonment was delayed, while a third case in Fulton County, Georgia, has not been dismissed.
Biden was following the law of previous President Gerald Ford, a Republican who, in 1974, pardoned his father, Richard Nixon, for the sake of national unity following the Watergate scandal. While Biden’s political pardon did not change the state-level instances, it would have a social impact.
In a Washington Post op-ed, Marc Thiessen and Danielle Pletka wrote,” If he pardons Trump, he will be remembered by past for a last act of diplomacy that brought a divided America up.”
Doing so could upset some Democrats, and perhaps a small number of Republicans, who feel the studies and scenarios launched against Trump since 2021 were all for everything.
4. Julian Assange
Biden has been pressured by some lawmakers to forgive WikiLeaks founder and publisher Julian Assange. Assange agreed to a plea deal this year after breaking the Espionage Act and faced punishment from the US federal for publishing classified information.
Vivek Ramaswamy, a former Republican presidential candidate, said he would forgive Assange if elected in 2023.
In February, Trump’s candidate to guide the Department of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., even called for Assange’s compassion and called him a “heroic leak” whose deeds had defended politics.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY ) asked Biden in early November to avoid punishing Assange, who now resides in Australia.
Before Jan. 20, 2025, progressive Democrats are pressing Biden to formally release all federal prisoners until Jan. 20.
Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA ) and Jim Clyburn (D-SC ) led a letter to Biden this week that urged him to free countless people in prison.
The letter states,” As you clemency authority, you must now address unjust and unnecessary criminal laws that Congress has passed and the harsh words that judges have imposed.”

According to Clyburn,” there are so many people serving lengthy sentences now because of victimless crimes.”
” That is amazing, and it should be dealt with”, he added.
