According to Japan Today, a girl fell from the top of a shopping center and hit a pedestrian below, killing both.
A 17-year-old woman from Japan’s Chiba Prefecture entered an open space on the 12th surface of the NEWoMan buying advanced above Yokohama Station on August 31st, according to the event. In the evening, she jumped out of the building after climbing over a 2.5-meter crystal barrier surrounding the pubic area.
The 17-year-old scholar landed on 32-year-old Chikako Chiba, who was walking with companions. Both were taken to the hospital, where the girl died first, followed by Chiba about three hours later.
Researchers believe the child’s fall was a death, though the reason is unclear. The student has been accused of “gross negligence resulting in death” prematurely. The pupil was aware of the potential risk for below-ground pedestrians, according to Yokuhama officers.
Critics question the worth of prosecuting a dying person, with some arguing the teenager’s innocence. A post on Japan Today described the activity as “peak state ridiculousness”.
In the G7 nations, Japan has the highest murder rate among teens, and there are more minor deaths reported on September 1 than on any other day in the season. In 2023, 513 adolescents died by suicide on this date, equivalent to 514 the year before, according to federal data.
Nevertheless, 21, 800 people in Japan died by suicide next year. In order to address the problem, the Chinese government appointed a grief minister in 2021, citing the Covid-19 pandemic’s effects as the cause of the rise in suicides.
