The Washington Examiner’s Tiana Lowe Doescher argued that President-elect Donald Trump aims to secure the government’s edges by “gambling” with his threat of tariffs toward the United States‘s surrounding states.
WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT TRUMP’S Fare THREAT AGAINST MEXICO AND CANADA ,
” Actually, what he’s doing is he’s wagering that this as a means to an end”, Doescher assessed on Fox News’s Your World with Neil Cavuto, guest-hosted by Edward Lawrence. About a fifth of the American business and nearly a third of the Mexican market are exported to the United States, respectively. So, he knows that Mexico and Canada ca n’t just nuke between one-fifth and one-third of their entire economies. He simply believes that they will address the border crisis, particularly the morphine flowing from Mexico and Canada, which will increase illegal immigration by about 5000 % from 2020.
Doug Schoen, a former adviser to former President Bill Clinton, has even addressed this issue, predicting that Canada and Mexico did both “back down” going forward. He encouraged Democratic lawmakers to” cooperate” with the Trump administration where” common ground” can be found.
” And I may say what we need now is cooperation and consensus, not more democratic fighting”, Schoen said.

Schoen’s comments came shortly after Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX ) revealed he would meet with incoming border czar Tom Homan, stating,” I think we can find a lot of common ground”. He added that while he does not observe eye-to-eye on everyone with Homan, he may agree on the need to “quickly” arrest offenders.
Democrats have voiced their antagonism to Trump’s planned arrests, contending that his city will continue to be “welcoming.” Denver Mayor Mike Johnston is one of the Democrats. Homan responded unfazed by Johnston’s says, suggesting he is “willing to place him in jail”.
