BALOCHISTAN: At least 10 Afghan people have been officially violently disappeared by Pakistforces in distinct instances in Jiwani, Uthal, Turbat, and Karachi places of Pakistan. One of the missing people has been found safe and unharmed, according to The Balochistan Post.
Four agrarian university students were detained at Uthal Bazaar and have since vanished. The peers of missing individuals have identified them as Gulab, Balaach, Bayan, and Nasir. Speaking to local media, one of their classmate said,” They were taken while at the bazaar, and we have n’t heard anything from them since”.
In Jiwani, safety troops are reported to have apprehended three gentlemen Faqeer Muhammad, his brother Dad Muhammad, and another person named Daarjan. Their present whereabouts remain mysterious, The Balochistan Post reported.
On Friday night, two more people were taken from the Askani neighborhood of Turbat. They have been identified as Waris, brother of Saleem, and Nisar, brother of Aslam. They were taken to an unfamiliar place.
In Karachi, a cab driver named Sadiq Ahmed, brother of Dilmurad, and a native of Kan Gichk, was apparently arrested in the Lea Market place. His movements are even unknown.
During this line of abductions, one person, Sheyak, son of Allah Bakhsh, who was abducted in Gwadar on November 22, has since returned home.
The escalating instances of arbitrary kidnappings in Balochistan have piqued the attention of human rights activists and advocacy groups. New businesses have reportedly resulted in the required disappearance of more than 50 citizens from places such as Turbat, Dera Bugti, Sui, Barkhan, and Kalat.
Among those recently subjected to enforced disappearances are Dr Zafar ( son of Mohammad Rahim ), Rahim Jan ( son of Dr Zafar ), Dr Mohammad Kareem ( son of Bahram ), Dangla ( son of Haji Moj Bugti), Pir Mohammad ( son of Pano Bugti), Ismail ( son of Lalu Bugti), and Rashid Ahmad Khetran ( son of Master Gul Mohammad Jan Bughio ).
In a recent defense activity in Kalat, more than 40 people were reportedly arrested. However, according to communication blackouts, more details regarding the detainees are also accessible, according to The Balochistan Post statement.
In a post on X, the Baloch Yakjheti Committee ( BYC), a Baloch advocacy group, wrote that” the enforced disappearances of Baloch individuals are escalating daily. The tyranny of the Baloch region is the worst kind. Surprising stories of forced kidnappings and extrajudicial killings surface with each new day. This violent exercise results in the execution of hundreds of innocent people and their families, and it is frequently carried out on innocent people.
The statement further criticized the solitude of advertising and human rights organizations, highlighting the fact that there is more genocide against Baloch people while the rest of the world is still silent. Nobody understands the significance of the Baloch people’s life. The highest level of state crime is now.
In the statement posted on X, BYC stated,” Today alone, eight Baloch people were violently disappeared from a single house, leaving behind no man part, including an old man, Dr. Zafar, and his brother, Raheem Baloch. Also, five of Dr. Zafar’s friends were abducted from his home. While Dr. Zafar was eventually released after intense humiliation and abuse, the people remain violently disappeared”.
The BYC expressed its grave issue, emphasizing that despite their peaceful work, the murder they are resisting is quickly intensifying.
Vowing to continue its resistance movement, the BYC stated,” We can never, and will never, remain indifferent while our people endure such cruelty. The opposition movement against the continued Baloch genocide may continue to grow and be strengthened by BYC.
