After her operator drowned in a frozen river after falling through the snow, a Russian dog showed remarkable commitment. Refusing to leave the page of the incident, the dog waited alone by the river for weeks, hoping for her owner’s profit.
Belka, the faithful dog, regularly returned to the area on Russia’s Ufa River where her 59-year-old user fell through the narrow ice into the 23-foot-deep waters.
Belka’s proprietor attempted to cross a lightly frozen river, but it was dangerous. As the snow was n’t heavy enough to hold his pounds, and he fell into the freezing water. A stranger tried to intervene, but the strong current swiftly swept the man aside, making save efforts difficult.
The swift current carried him away, and despite quick recovery efforts, it took four weeks to find his remains inland.
Throughout this terrible ordeal, his faithful canine Belka remained at the river, aware of the tragedy, waiting hard for her owner to returning.
Even the darkness of night did n’t deter her. In photos, she was unflagging and steadfastly celebration in the dark. Despite waiting at the improper location, Belka stood her ground, holding on to expect.
Belka always managed to return to the place where she next witnessed her beloved owner disappear into the waters despite the boy’s grieving family’s numerous attempts to take her home.
The pet dog has been compared by Russians to the famous Japanese Akita, Hachiko, who reportedly waited continuously for his landlord, Hidesaburo Ueno, also after his departure.
The savior almost lost his life in a rescue effort for the pet owner after the incident. The hero was discovered with extreme hypothermia.
The mind of the rescue service in Bashkiria, Kirill Pervov said:” During the search, the rescue team used an air mattress ship with a hooking system to study the river bottom, UK media store The Sun reported.
He remarked,” Research work was complicated by difficult conditions- a strong current and unstable ice crust,” urging residents to “follow the rules of safe behavior and do not put your life in danger.”
” Do not go out on thin ice, “he added.
Belka is associated with a well-known Soviet space dog named Sputnik 5 who set foot in space in 1960.
