Hard rock traditions AC/DC did” Power Up” on at 13-date North British journey this spring, organizers announced Monday.
Tickets for the present, including an April 30 halt at Ford Field, the Detroit Lions ‘ home, go on selling at noon on Friday via Ticketmaster.
The exhibit is piece of AC/DC’s” Power Up” journey, named for the band’s 2020 song, its 17th theater set. The journey kicks off April 10 in Minneapolis and covers May 28 in Cleveland.
The Aussie painful artists ‘ first North American tour since 2016 is on the road. Axl Rose of Guns N’ Roses took over vocal duties during that circular of touring after guide singer Brian Johnson was told by doctors to stop touring quickly or risk losing his hearing.
Malcolm Young, the older sibling of lead guitarist Angus Young, guitarist and founding part, passed away in 2017 after a year of service to the band. He was replaced by Stevie Young, Malcom’s grandson.
AC/DC didn’t return to dwell performing until playing Indio, California’s Power Trip in 2023. The group — Johnson and the two Youngs, along with musician Matt Laug and guitar player Chris Chaney, who joined in 2023 and 2024, both— followed that one-off with a German trip this year.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, AC/DC celebrates the 50th anniversary of its debut song,” High Voltage”, in 2025. The circle has four songs —” Highway to Hell”,” Up in Black”,” Thunderstruck” and” You Shook Me All Night Long” — with more than 1 billion flows each on Spotify.
Following Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks and Post Malone and Jelly Roll presentations on March 29 and May 18, the festival’s second concert will be held at Ford Field in 2025.
