The Federalist has learned that former Army and Navy officials, who were recently promoted by President Joe Biden, promoted neo-Marxist philosophy in the defense.
According to a Nov. 15 Pentagon press transfer, Biden promoted Army Cols. Peter L. Gilbert and Antwan L. Dunmyer to the general public level. Dunmyer served as the 101st Airborne Division’s deputy chief of operations at Fort Campbell in Kentucky, while Gilbert served as the captain of the 3rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command at Fort Liberty ( previously known as Fort Bragg ) in North Carolina.
The Federalist has learned that both people have promoted concepts affiliated with so-called “diversity, capital, and addition” ( DEI), an outgrowth of neo-Marxist philosophy, in their abilities as military officers. DEI is a hazardous left-wing framework that rejects merit and otherwise discriminates against people based on traits like skin colour and sex, as The Federalist earlier pointed out.
The 101st Division Sustainment Brigade’s Instagram page was notified in first 2021 that Gilbert had made a video message highlighting Black History Month. According to his LinkedIn report, the Army official served with the regiment from July 2020 to July 2022.
After recognizing the achievements of black Americans in the defense throughout U. S. past, Gilbert touted how the 101st Division Sustainment Brigade is “dedicated” to championing “diversity”, which he contended refers to the department’s overall performance.
“ The 101st Airborne Division Sustainment Brigade is dedicated to leveraging the strength of our diverse force, embracing and celebrating diversity, which makes us the]greatest ] fighting force the world has ever seen”, Gilbert said.
Dunmyer has his own evident love with identity-based politics. The Army official spoke at an LGBT “pride quarter” event in June 2022 to honor the celebration of the Stonewall Uprising. In response to a officers raid on a gay club in New York City that resulted in the arrest of some customers, LGBT protesters staged protests in 1969.
According to an Army press release, Dunmyer used his discourse to commemorate “pride month”, which he claimed, as described in the keynote, “is a time to come up to recognize the efforts of the LGBTQ company people”.
Our Army honors the reputation of those who identify with the LGBTQ community in June and applauds them for their hard work supporting our country and the Army’s mission, according to Dunmyer. Our distinguished brothers and sisters in wings have fought bravely for the rights of our great country for many years, sometimes on the field or in the front line for equal rights. We have the opportunity to recognize them and learn from them during the ceremony today.
The Senate confirmed Gilbert and Dunmyer’s campaigns via voice vote on November 21.
Military experts have warned that the military forces ‘ excessive emphasis on “diversity” is preventing them from carrying out and carrying out missions.
In September, the Claremont Institute’s Will Thibeau published a report detailing this issue, which has only gotten worse under the Biden-Harris leadership. He specifically cited the Pentagon’s acceptance of” a dangerous philosophy: that of party quotas, or forced results equality for identity groups based on race and sex.”
However, the above-mentioned Army officers are not the only Biden contenders with a track record of supporting DEI-related initiatives.
Navy Capt. In addition to making them known, Omarr E. Tobias has also made them known in his capacity as the commander of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command ( NAVFAC ) in Washington, D.C. Tobias was promoted by Biden to the position of rear admiral ( lower half ) last month.
Tobias was featured in a NAVFAC film celebrating Women’s Equality Day in August 2024. He was asked by NAVFAC Public Affairs Specialist Natasha Waldron Anthony “how variety, especially participation of people, has strengthened NAVFAC Washington’s vision and skills”.
” Well at NAVFAC Washington, women are a part of the very fabric of our command”, Tobias said. ” We are successful because the talent of our professionals, including our women, carry us all the way. So, our success is based on the talent of our professionals, and women are integral to that”.
Since becoming the facility’s commanding officer, Anthony then pressed the Navy captain about “what initiatives or changes” he’s implemented to “promote gender equality and create more opportunities for women within NAVFAC Washington.” Tobias responded by touting NAVFAC’s “focus” on fostering an “inclusive” culture, which he contended permits service members to reach their full potential.
” Our main objective at NAVFAC Washington is to expand our wonderful culture.” And that culture is very inclusive”, Tobias said. We want everyone to reach the top of their game. And to do that, you have to feel comfortable, you have to feel warm in your environment, and you have to feel like people are invested in your own well-being and success”.
Tobias also earlier this year recorded a video message to celebrate Black History Month. He claimed that the month of commemoration gives Americans the chance to” seize the opportunity to honor” what he called” the over-used neglected accomplishments of black Americans in every area of our history.”
The post was accompanied by a caption that reads in part,” In his message, Capt. Omarr Tobias, NAVFAC Washington commanding officer, reiterated the importance of inclusivity and respect”.
