Amid large reaction, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister,  , one of the harshest officers of COVID demands in Florida, has withdrawn his title from thought as President-elect Donald Trump’s candidate to run the Drug Enforcement Agency.  ,

After former Florida representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla. ) made the decision to end his campaign, Chronister is the second of Trump’s administration picks to do so. Attorney General of the month last month, it appeared he couldn’t find Senate validation.
The Florida deputy was one of the more controversial picks among Trump’s key foundation, and his candidacy puzzled many of the incoming president’s supporters.
Some are then questioning who among Trump’s interior group actually contacted and recommended him.
Trump announced via social media on Nov. 30 that Chronister had “work with our great Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to secure the Frontier, stop the flow of Fentanyl, and another Illegal Drugs, across the Southern Border, and SAVE LIVES”.
After the news, Chronister was nominated to lead the DEA, and he responded favorably.
” It is the recognition of a lifetime to be nominated by President Donald Trump to function as the superintendent of the Drug Enforcement Administration,” Chronister said on X at the time.
His candidacy would have been awkward because he would have had to collaborate attentively with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who was Trump’s choice to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.

Kennedy is a big critic of vaccine mandates and COVID quarantine laws.
At the top of the epidemic for violating a stay-at-home order, Chronister infamously ordered the arrest of a priest for holding church service in March 2020.
The claims were eventually dropped against the priest, Ronald Howard-Browne of Tampa, who supported Chronister’s election for DEA key.
Despite the support of Republican officials in Florida, it appears that he did not have enough support in Congress to be confirmed regarding his position on the COVID shutdowns.
The President-elect Donald Trump has the opportunity of a lifetime to have him as superintendent of the drug enforcement agency. I’ve come to the decision to graciously withdraw from concern over the past few weeks as the enormity of this very important role began to become apparent,” Chronister posted on X on December 3.  ,
I’ve come to the decision to politely withdraw from concern over the past few days as the seriousness of this very important role became apparent.
There are many efforts I’m determined to completing, and there is still work to be done for Hillsborough County residents. I sincerely enjoy the election, outpouring of support by the American people, and look forward to continuing my services as Judge of Hillsborough County”, he added.

According to the coroner’s website, the 32-year rules police veteran was appointed deputy of Hillsborough County in 2017 by then-Republican Gov. Rick Scott, who is now the lawmaker for Florida.
” During the COVID stress, this judge ordered the arrest of a priest for holding service.” He was tapped by Trump to head the DEA”, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky. )  , tweeted on X.
,” Happy to observe him withdraw from thought. Next day officials lose their ever-lovin thoughts, he can resurrect himself by following the Constitution”, Massie quipped.
