United States President-elect Donald Trump has announced Daniel P Driscoll, a former and venture capitalist from North Carolina, as his candidate for Secretary of the Army.
The defense service branch’s minister is the human head.
The statement, made on Wednesday via Truth Social, noted Driscoll’s different background in military assistance, expense, and political advising.
” I am pleased to select Daniel P. Driscoll, from the Great State of North Carolina, to offer as the Secretary of the Army”, Trump stated.
” As a past Soldier, Investor, and Political Advisor, Dan brings a strong combination of activities to offer as a disruptor and change realtor”, the President-elect added.
Who is Daniel P Driscoll?
Driscoll’s occupation is marked by extraordinary achievements.
He joined the US Army after receiving his degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in only three years. He then completed Ranger School and served as the 10th Mountain Division’s Cavalry Scout Platoon Leader during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Upon returning from battle, Driscoll earned a law degree from Yale Law School under the Post-9/11 GI Bill.
Driscoll has experience in private equity and venture capital. Lately, he served as a senior consultant to Vice President-elect JD Vance.
Driscoll was described as” a fearless and unwavering supporter of America’s soldiers and the America First agenda” by Trump.
Hailing from Boone, North Carolina, Driscoll is married to his high school darling, Dr Cassie Driscoll, a plastic surgeon.
The pair has two babies, Daniel Jr. and Lila.
