Kingtom Aluminio S. R. L. was found to have used forced labor while manufacturing its products, violating federal law ( 19 U. S. C. § 1307 ). In consequence, CBP has a restriction on importing goods from any business that has its goods “made entirely or in part by convict labor, or/and forced labor, or/and bonded labor, even forced or bonded child labor [. ]” &nbsp,

Additionally, the company’s violations conflict with the ideals and guiding principles of CBP’s forced labour police vision, which calls for supporting “ethical and humanitarian business while leveling the playing area for American companies that value good labor standards.”

” Forced labor is a violation of basic human rights”, notes the CBP website. In this way, they have strengthened their commitment and commitment to “identifying products made by forced labor and preventing them from entering the United States, thus denying access to the U.S. economy for those who engage in the egregious human rights abuses associated with the use of forced labor.”

Following earlier allegations of abuse and forced labor, the CBP opened an investigation into Kingtom Aluminio S. R. L. During its probe, CBP discovered that Kingtom Aluminio S. R. L. had committed multiple violations, including “abuse of vulnerability, intimidation and threats, deception, withholding of wages, physical and sexual violence, restriction of movement, and excessive overtime” .&nbsp,

In response to its findings, numerous CBP officials decried the company.

According to Troy Miller, a senior CBP official in charge of the commissioner’s duties,” Trading in goods is completely antithetical to American values and the American way of life.” &nbsp,

With this action, we are telling those businesses that continue to try to evade U.S. trade laws that their goods are not acceptable in the United States, according to AnnMarie R. Highsmith, executive assistant commissioner of CBP Office of Trade. &nbsp,

According to the International Labour Organization, there are currently estimated 28 million workers worldwide who are subject to forced labor. Kingtom Aluminio S. R. L.’s decision to impose a ban on importing any goods is the most recent step taken by CBP in its fight against global, illegal forced labor, which includes numerous businesses that are based in or have connections to China. &nbsp,
