” Right-wing media outlets are desperately trying to discredit conspiracy theories about Biden before the debate.”
That’s what Oliver Darcy, who was then with CNN, wrote just days before the first ( and only ) 2024 presidential debate between President-elect Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. The” conspiracy theories” were that Biden is a” senile, mentally incapacitated elderly man who cannot remember what he had for breakfast, let alone run the federal government”.
However, a” crime idea” that claimed Biden couldn’t “run the federal government” was accurate, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal that describes how Biden’s interior group worked to conceal his physical and mental decline.
” To adapt the White House around the needs of a diminished leader ,]Biden’s closest aides and advisers ] told visitors to keep meetings focused”, the WSJ reported. ” Relations with top Democrat lawmakers and some cabinet members, including powerful secretary like Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, were infrequent or decreased,” said one source.
” Some congressional leaders had a hard time getting the government’s ears at important moments, including ahead of the U. S.’s fatal handover from Afghanistan”, the statement continues. Older advisers were frequently tapped for positions that some lawmakers and administration officials believed Biden should fill.
According to the record, these worries started in” the first few weeks of his term,” which indicates that the cover-up has continued for years.
Unfortunately,” editors” lost their appetite for truth and instead gorged on the spoon-fed misinformation about Biden’s mental condition that the White House shoved to them before revealing it to the world for all to see.
The Independent’s Noah Berlatsky wrote,” This reality check Biden’s so-called mental drop” in July of 2023. According to Bernatsky, “questions about the government’s health for business aren’t in good belief” and that Republicans “have put a lot of effort” into making the case that the 80-year-old Biden is psychologically incapable of holding the presidency.
” But the GOP’s conviction that Biden is weak and ignorant also has real disadvantages. If Biden is in cognitive decline, it if, in principle, be easy to defeat him”. Importantly, because of Biden’s serious cognitive impairments, Democrats removed him from the candidacy via a coup only one year later.
In an article from NBC News in October of 2023, Matt Dixon, Dasha Burns, and Alex Tabet claim that” Republicans float a silent conspiracy theory that Biden won’t be on the vote” and that the idea “was largely based on the notion that Biden is very old and never mentally strong.”
The Guardian’s Nick Robins-Early tried to downplay the concerns in 2023 as a “fixture of conservative media” that caught on with the general public. It’s possible that as Biden prepares for the 2024 presidential election, conservatives will be taking his age and mental abilities seriously during the campaign. According to Robins-Early,” a lot of this narrative has relied on either specious allegations or outright deception.”
The left-wing corporate press remained silent even after Robert Hur came out and said he would not charge Biden for handling classified documents because he would likely present himself to a jury as an “elderly man with a poor memory.” Instead, the media just doubled down on their defense of Biden.
Toluse Olorunnipa and Adriana Usero, both of whom wrote for The Washington Post, attempted to undermine Republicans ‘ concerns about Biden’s physical and mental fitness by reporting in June that” Republicans” were “attacking” him with” cheap fakes” and “misleading videos” in an effort to “prove” his “physical and mental fitness.”
The New York Times ‘ Stuart A. Thompson fabricated the claims that conservatives were fortunate when Biden was ousted because it supported their “right-wing conspiracy” that Biden would be replaced and that another “baseless belief” is that” Biden is merely a puppet of Democratic elites or a shadowy political body referred to as the Deep State.”
But that’s exactly what the WSJ report reveals: unelected bureaucrats were being given positions that Biden’s supporters believed he should be filling.
It shouldn’t have taken four years for this report to come out. Biden exposed his cognitive decline for the entire world to observe. There are endless resources available to outlets like CNN, the NYT, and The Washington Post, who could have uncovered this for themselves. However, the left-wing corporate media made the decision to renounce their role in producing authentic journalism. The Wall Street Journal’s report on Thursday should serve as the propaganda press’s final nail in the coffin and serves as a warning to the American people: Don’t trust these organizations or their “reporters.“
