Elon Musk, the country’s richest and perhaps most honest man, is without a doubt President-elect Donald Trump’s greatest property as he prepares to get business. But of course, our unscrupulous national news outlets are attempting to wedge the two, prematurely kneecapping Trump’s governing agenda.
It’s so evident that I assume even someone as a little finicky and sensitive as Trump rarely sees through it.
Musk’s endorsement of the former president before putting more than$ 100 million into the campaign to elect him was a necessity for Trump’s campaign this year. Then he’s serving as one of Trump’s closest experts, staying overnight at Mar-a-Lago and attending almost every high-level gathering by his side. According to reports, he is essentially residing at the pub. Elon Musk may already be overstaying his delightful in Trump’s circle, according to headlines last month that already had that in mind.
His suggestions would inevitably fit the government spending date that is set to occur at the end of this year because Musk is also tasked with tackling misuse and inefficiency within the federal government. And when Musk, like so many of us, saw that the “bipartisan” act propped up by Republican House Speaker Mike” McChurchill” Johnson was a ludicrous chaos of unrelated contests to Democrats —$ 250 million for” baby care”, aka single-motherhood opportunities — he led a quiet opposition officially denouncing the plan. A plan, which, by the way, continued state investing levels through the first quarter of 2025, properly nullifying Musk’s cost-cutting objective for the first several weeks of the new Trump presidency.
There is not a single piece of evidence that suggests Musk worked independently to cylinder the act without consulting the approaching US president ( who, it seems, is almost physiologically bound to, in the same way that Tesla individuals are to Teslas— kidding ). Mussk about truly told Trump that the bill is rubbish and that it would be best if their friends pressed House Republicans to halt it. Trump would finally refer to the legislation as “ridiculous and incredibly pricey.”
Despite the fact that the media presented a tale in the opening hours, you’d have to know if it was Aaron Sorkin’s idea to create a cheesy drama between Trump and Musk.
With false interest, CNN’s Kasie Hunt asked on Thursday:” The problem that the events of yesterday raises is this: Who is really calling the pictures? Elon Musk or Donald Trump? And when the leader is sworn in, who did take the initiative?
The Politico Playbook newsletter, commonly read in Washington, said on the same day that Musk had “backed Trump into a part”.
Mike Allen at Axios unilaterally dubbed Musk” the most powerful man in politics” and alleged falsely that Must “tank]ed ]” the spending bill” single handedly”.
The president-elect was informed by his team that Republicans might be able to pass a better expenses and that a government” shutdown” would have a less negative impact. This is a more precise reading of the situation. Trust me, I’ve been a long-time tenant of Washington; nothing loves a shutdown more than the numerous federal bureaucrats who take the time as an unscheduled vacation. The criticism plan was given the go-ahead and was purposefully led by Musk. But the media wants to make it about him in the hopes that it will annoy the attention-loving former president to the point where it would turn off one of his best qualities, which is unquestionably excellent and enthusiastically.
It’s very immature, but nobody ever accused our press of being serious or complex.
